Meet Isaiah LaRue

We’re grateful to have him directing our sales initiatives to help us bring top-tier technologies to our operators and engineers. Here’s Isaiah LaRue!

Q: How long have you worked for Nexom?  

A: Almost 5 years 

Q: How did you get to the position you are in now? You’ve worked for Nexom and in the industry as a whole for quite a while, so it’s safe to assume you’ve held other positions before this one. 

A: My first role in our industry was as a project manager after college (at another company). Not really knowing anything, this introduced me to the key items/interactions required to make a project successful. In less than a year, a sales role became available there, and I was pushed to make the move – have been in sales ever since. 

Q: What is your favorite part about EDI to talk about and why? 

A: Our team has passion for what we do and the ways we solve problems. Having creative knowledge with multiple tools (discs, MP, coarse bubble and SW) gives us the ability to help craft the proper solutions vs having to push a product into a potentially bad fit. 

Q: What is your favorite part about Nexom to talk about and why?  

A: Similar to EDI, the deep application knowledge that allows us to maximize existing infrastructure (i.e. lagoons or mechanical plant processes) to customize the RIGHT solution. There are a lot of “cookie cutter” approaches out there that do not recognize the unique drivers for a specific plant and their stakeholders. 

Q: What do you wish others in the wastewater industry understood that isn’t talked about enough? 

A: Not specific to only our industry, but the importance of professional growth and lifelong learning. In this day and age, there are so many resources to help people develop. 

Q: What project or technology have you worked on or completed recently that you’re most proud of and want mentioned here?  

A: Newburg MO Bioports® was recently sold and is a plant intensification. The project is driven by enhanced process stability and to better their peak flow capacities. Our solution allows them to achieve these goals within their existing tankage/infrastructure and without sweeping changes to the current plant.
