Tanner Devlin

Leading the way for all of our Intensified treatment solutions here at Nexom is Dr. Tanner Devlin. A Manitoba native, Tanner, has spent half of his career with the Nexom team helping customers like you find the solutions they need for their wastewater treatment system.

Q: How long have you worked for Nexom?  

A: Too long – 6 years working for Merle…

Q: How did you get to the position you are in now?  

A: Martin asked if I wanted to work for Nexom, and I said I guess so. Honestly though, I have been doing process engineering for water and wastewater treatment for about 12 years now. I had been familiar with Nexom the entire time, and I was excited by what Nexom was doing, so when the offer came it was an easy decision. 

Q: What is your favorite part about BioPorts or any of our Nexom technologies to talk about and why?  

A: Our ability to recognize site-specific project drivers and meaningfully optimize process design for site-specific requirements.

Q: What do you wish others in the wastewater industry understood that isn’t talked about enough?  

A: Wastewater treatment isn’t “waste” free – all mainstream treatment systems generate residuals, such as chemical or biological sludge, that must be properly managed.   

Q: What project or technology have you worked on or completed recently that you’re most proud of and want mentioned here?  

A: Too many to mention. Winkler MB – large nutrient removal system that fully utilizes existing lagoons for treatment.
